The nature of social media makes it impossible to guarantee your confidentiality as a client. Please note that Hayden Finch’s social media accounts are operated by multiple individuals and are therefore not confidential in any way. Identities of those engaging with (commenting, direct messaging, liking) the account cannot be verified, therefore all persons engaging with the account will be treated as non-clients. Past, current, and potential clients, and close family and friends of clients are advised not to follow or engage with @HaydenFinchPhD on any social media accounts in order to protect your confidential status as a client and allow for the highest standard of care. Therapy is intended to be a “safe space” focused on the clients’ wellbeing and engaging with one’s therapist on social media may complicate the neutrality of the therapeutic relationship or inadvertently shift focus onto the therapist instead of the client. Any interaction with her social media accounts is at your own risk. In short: We really don’t think it’s a good idea to follow your therapist on social media.
